Chapter 94, Article VI governs parking and storing vehicles in residential districts. Section 94-181 prohibits front yard parking of motor vehicles, boats, trailers, and recreational vehicles. Brief front yard access is allowed (up to two hours) for washing and cleaning. Section 94-182 addresses additional nuisance and storage conditions. Violations are enforced by Code Compliance and may result in citations.
Violations result in a notice to comply with a 14-day deadline. Failure to comply carries fines of $50–$200 per day. Abandoned or derelict vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense.
