In the City of Pensacola you may not park on a street in a way that leaves less than ten feet of roadway open for traffic. On unincorporated county roads, parking is governed by Florida's Uniform Traffic Control Law and posted tow-away zones.
City of Pensacola Code § 11-2-26 prohibits parking on a street so as to leave less than ten feet of roadway width for the free movement of traffic; on unpaved streets a car may use no more than 12 inches of the paved portion. In unincorporated Escambia County, the county adopts the Florida Uniform Traffic Control Law (F.S. ch. 316) and it is unlawful under § 94-47 to stop, stand or park in any board-designated tow-away zone along a county road, right-of-way or bridge. County parking enforcement generally follows F.S. §§ 316.1945—316.1967.
Pensacola violations draw parking fines and possible impound; county tow-away-zone violations are punishable under F.S. § 316.655 and the vehicle may be towed at the owner's expense.
