Sunrise carts may go to the curb no earlier than 7 p.m. the night before collection and must be back off the curb by 7 p.m. on collection day. Between pickups, store carts out of sight.
Code Sec. 12-3(c) governs where carts live and when they appear. Carts must be kept in an appropriate place on the premises and set at a curbside spot accessible to the hauler but never on the street or sidewalk. They may go out no earlier than 7 p.m. the evening before collection, and all carts and uncollected waste must be removed from the curb no later than 7 p.m. on the scheduled collection day. Lids must close and contents may not exceed the rim (Sec. 12-12). The city asks residents to store emptied garbage and recycling carts out of sight to keep neighborhoods neat.
