Summary
Maple Grove bans organizing or hosting loud parties that disturb neighbors, and makes staying after police order a dispersal a separate offense.
No person shall organize or promote any activity described in this section or shall allow such activity on property within the person's control, or remain within any area wherein such activity is taking place after being ordered to disperse by a peace officer, unless that person is there for the sole purpose of abating the disturbance. The activities prohibited by this section are as follows:
(1)To congregate because of or participate in any party or gathering of people from which noise emanates of sufficient volume as to unreasonably disturb the peace, quiet or repose of persons residing in any residential area.(2)To congregate because of or participate in any party or gathering of people in or upon private lands such as fields, woods, farmland, or gravel pits, wherein any disturbing form of noise emanates and/or which causes foot traffic, vehicular traffic or parking volume to increase significantly in the surrounding area, disturbing the normal traffic and parking volume.(3)Any use of a public street or sidewalk which causes large crowds of people to gather, obstructing traffic or the free use of a street or sidewalk.(4)Failure to disperse in an orderly manner.
