Smoking in Parks. 1. No person shall smoke within a park owned, operated or controlled by the city or district except in an area designated and posted as available for smoking at or on the grounds of a recreation center by direction of the parks and community services director. 2. No person shall dispose of any cigarette, cigar or other tobacco product or any part thereof in a park except in a designated waste disposal container. 3. Violations and Penalties. Any person who violates any provision of this section by smoking in a park is guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with Chapter 1.10, Civil Citations, of the Moreno Valley Municipal Code.
