Section 14-19 flatly prohibits any person from drinking beer, wine or liquor on any public streets, in any public parks or in any other public place anywhere in the city, unless that specific place is licensed by both the city and the appropriate state authority to sell alcoholic beverages. The only carve-out written into the section is for events the city itself sponsors, meaning a city-run festival or concert can permit alcohol where an ordinary gathering in the same park could not. The ban traces to a 1962 ordinance and was last amended in 2009, and it works alongside the Chapter 3 alcoholic beverages licensing rules that the code cross-references.

A violation is cited under the citywide civil fine schedule set out in Lauderhill Code § 7½-3 for Chapter 14, Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions offenses: fifty dollars for a first citation, one hundred dollars for a second, and two hundred fifty dollars for a third or later citation. Because the prohibition covers any other public place beyond streets and parks, it extends to public parking lots, plazas, and other city-owned or city-controlled property that is not separately licensed to sell alcohol, and officers or code compliance staff can issue the citation directly.
