Lauderhill, FL Trash & Recycling: Holiday Pickup Schedule (2026)

The City of Lauderhill, in Broward County, Florida, does not set a holiday calendar in its code. Appendix G, Article III of the Lauderhill Code approves the franchise agreement with Waste Management, Inc. of Florida, and Exhibit C to that article is headed "LIST OF HOLIDAYS." It prints one line for collection holidays, "Christmas Day and Martin Luther King Day*," with an asterisk note that Martin Luther King Day is a collection holiday only if the contractor gives that day off to its drivers throughout Broward County. The code text records the franchise term as commencing October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2025, so the 2026 schedule below comes from the city's own current web pages rather than from the old term language.

The official 2026 text on the Community Services Bulk Trash Collection page is plain: Waste Management will provide trash service on every holiday with the exception of Christmas Day. If your trash collection day falls on Christmas Day, your trash will be collected the following day. For the dates residents search for, that means Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026, and New Year's Day, Friday, January 1, 2027, carry no printed exception, and only Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2026, moves a route. The city's separate Trash Collection page repeats the standing rule for residential garbage and names December 25th as the one exception.

Christmas trees are handled on the regular schedule. The bulk trash page says trees will be accepted on your regular trash service day from December 26, 2026 through the end of the first week in January 2027. The Trash Collection page adds that trees can be placed out on residents' regular garbage collection days.

The bulk trash page also lists 2026 pickup dates for condominiums and multi-family homes with dumpster service: January 29, February 26, March 26, April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30, August 27, October 1, October 29 and November 26. No September date is printed. Single-family residents receive bulk service based on their address and are told to read the Bulk Collection Map on that page.

For changes, the Trash Collection page sends residents to www.wmfloridaholiday.com. Questions about bulk service go to Waste Management at 954-615-4050 or the City of Lauderhill at 954-730-3000. These pages print dates and a rule only; they do not publish a day-by-day shift table for each route.
