It is unlawful for any person to ride on a skateboard, roller skates, roller blades, or other similar wheel devices upon any private commercial or public property, when such property has been posted pursuant to this section. The chief of police or his designee is authorized to post or cause to be posted signs, at the owner or lessor's expense, prohibiting the riding of skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates and other similar wheeled devices. The signs must be of a type and size and erected in a manner acceptable to the chief of police or his designee. The signs must be prominently displayed and state substantially as follows:
The use of skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates or other similar wheeled devices in or on these premises is unlawful.
