Kissimmee, FL Public Conduct: Skateboarding Rules (2026)

City code section 38-22 draws a sharp line between downtown and the rest of Kissimmee. Inside the downtown business district boundary, operating a skateboard or roller skating on any street or sidewalk is unlawful outright, with no hazard requirement. Everywhere else in the city, skateboarding and roller skating on streets and sidewalks is only unlawful if it's done in a manner that causes a hazard to motorists or pedestrians. The same section separately bars erecting basketball hoops or other large play equipment in the right-of-way, from the sidewalk to the street, including driveway aprons.
