Lakeville City Code section 9-10-7.G, one of the mandatory performance standards every short-term rental permit holder must satisfy, states that noise from the rental shall not carry beyond property lines and is subject to section 4-1-4 of the code, including reduced noise levels between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. That cross-referenced noise ordinance, section 4-1-4-1, makes it prima facie evidence of a violation to operate a radio, musical instrument, phonograph, or similar sound device between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. in a manner plainly audible at the property line of the structure, or at fifty feet (50') if the source is outdoors.

The same performance-standards section also bars special events, loud parties, camping, fireworks, or discharge of firearms at a short-term rental (section 9-10-7.F), reinforcing that party-house behavior is not permitted regardless of noise decibel level.
