Section 5.76.060.F sets the parking floor for every permitted home sharing rental: a minimum of two on-site spaces per unit, which need not sit in an enclosed garage, but must otherwise meet Chapter 18.40's parking standards. At least one space per reservation must be made available to the guest, and that guest space can be drawn from the required parking or from driveway spaces. The subsection specifically allows tandem parking, but only if each tandem space measures at least nine feet by twenty feet and does not extend into any sidewalk or public right-of-way.

Where the required parking sits inside a garage, the host must keep that garage space clear of debris and able to fit a vehicle at all times, closing off the common workaround of using a garage as storage while still counting it toward the parking minimum. Section 5.76.060.G adds a related enforcement tool: hosts must keep records of guests' vehicle license plate numbers and hand them over to the city on request, giving code enforcement a way to check compliance with the two-space and one-guest-space rules after the fact.
