Revere's Short-Term Rental Ordinance (Revere Code Chapter 8.09, adopted by City Council August 24, 2020) does not impose a STR-specific parking ratio. Off-street parking for the dwelling unit is governed by Section 17.28 of the Revere Zoning Ordinance, which sets parking by district and use, and by Title 10 on-street rules administered by the Office of the Parking Clerk.
Chapter 8.09 of the Revere Code regulates short-term rentals (rentals under 30 days, capped at six months per calendar year) but does not adopt a separate guest-parking ratio. Parking for the underlying dwelling unit is set by Section 17.28 of the Revere Zoning Ordinance (Title 17, Article II - Parking), which establishes minimum off-street parking ratios that vary by zoning district (RA, RB, RC, etc.) and by residential use category. STR guests are not eligible for the Citywide Resident Parking Sticker Program established under Revere Code Chapter 10.34, which restricts visitor and overnight on-street parking in posted residential permit zones to vehicles registered to a Revere resident at the address. Revere Beach Boulevard, Ocean Avenue, and adjacent streets carry seasonal Revere Beach Reservation parking restrictions enforced by both the Revere Police Parking Clerk and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Hosts who cannot accommodate guests on-site within the lot's permitted parking should disclose this in the listing and direct guests to MBTA Blue Line service (Wonderland and Beachmont stations) or DCR public lots. Confirm the exact off-street count required for your specific zoning district and dwelling type with the Revere Inspectional Services Department or the Office of Short Term Rental at Revere City Hall, 281 Broadway, before listing.
Guest vehicles parked in posted resident-permit-only zones without a sticker are subject to citation and tow under Revere Code Chapter 10.34. Failure to provide the off-street parking required by Zoning Section 17.28 for the dwelling can be raised at the annual STR inspection and may delay registration renewal under Chapter 8.09.
