Summary
Danbury prohibits parking, standing, or stopping any motor vehicle on or across a public sidewalk, except briefly to cross it for access or during sidewalk construction, maintenance, or snow removal.
No person shall park any motor vehicle upon, nor shall any motor vehicle be left parked, standing or stopped on or across any public sidewalk except to cross such sidewalk to enter or leave adjacent areas or to perform necessary sidewalk construction, maintenance or snow removal. For purposes of this section the term "public sidewalk" shall be defined to include that portion of the public highway right-of-way located within the area lying between the edge of the road pavement and a line outside of said pavement, parallel to said pavement edge and located eight (8) feet therefrom. The provisions of this section shall not apply to an electric personal assistive mobility device, as defined in C.G.S. § 14-289h.
