F governs window signs for multi-family and non-residential uses citywide. Window signs are permitted on those uses but are barred from individual multi-family tenant windows, and they are allowed only on ground-floor windows, not upper stories. The core numeric rule: window signs, "including permanent and temporary signs," cannot exceed 30 percent of the total area of each individual ground-floor window they are placed in. Signs must go on the interior surface of the glass, not be mounted outside the window, and must use materials and colors consistent with the building and tenant's branding.
