Little Elm, TX Soliciting & Door-to-Door: No-Knock Registry (2026)

Little Elm Code of Ordinances Chapter 58 requires all permitted solicitors to respect no-soliciting signs posted at residential properties. A solicitor who knocks on a door displaying a no-soliciting sign or who refuses to leave after the occupant asks them to depart is in violation of the town ordinance and may face trespassing charges under Texas Penal Code Section 30.05. The town may maintain a do-not-knock registry where residents can register their address to be placed on a list distributed to all permitted solicitors. Solicitors who contact an address on the registry are subject to permit revocation and fines.

In master-planned communities like Paloma Creek and Union Park, HOA-controlled access gates and community management companies provide an additional layer of solicitation control. Some HOAs prohibit door-to-door solicitation entirely within the community and enforce this through their private security or management companies. Residents can also register with the Texas No-Call List maintained by the Public Utility Commission of Texas for telephone solicitation, though this is separate from door-to-door rules.
