Little Elm, TX Soliciting & Door-to-Door: Solicitor Permits (2026)

Under the Little Elm Code of Ordinances Chapter 58 (Peddlers, Solicitors, and Itinerant Vendors), any person who goes door to door to sell goods, services, or solicit donations must obtain a solicitor permit from the Town of Little Elm. The application requires identification, a description of the goods or services offered, and consent to a criminal background check processed by the Little Elm Police Department. Permits are typically valid for a set period and must be carried and displayed upon request while soliciting. Solicitation is restricted to the hours between 9:00 AM and sunset (or a specified evening hour such as 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM depending on the ordinance).
