Section 4-2F-13 gives any occupant the right to post a "No Solicitation" sign or placard near the main entrance door or near the property line by the sidewalk, and that posting alone is deemed notice that the household does not want solicitors; the rule expressly applies even to solicitors who are exempt from registration under the article. Section 4-2F-14 makes it the solicitor's job to check every residence for a "No Soliciting," "No Trespassing," or similar posting before approaching, and if one is found the solicitor must forgo any contact and leave immediately; a certificate of registration does not excuse this duty.

The same section separately bans deception or ruse to secure an audience, requires solicitors to leave immediately when an occupant asks, prohibits any physical contact without consent, bars following someone into a residence without explicit consent, and prohibits repeated "badgering" after a resident has clearly declined. M. Mountain Standard Time at any residence, licensed or not, unless the resident has given express prior permission to solicit outside those hours.
