Grand Prairie requires permits for organized events in city parks. The Parks, Arts, and Recreation department manages park reservations and event permits. Larger events may also require a Ch. 7.5 Special Event Permit.
Organized events in Grand Prairie's city parks require permits from the Parks, Arts, and Recreation department. Park reservations are available for pavilions, athletic fields, and other facilities. Larger events that require city services (police, fire, EMS), amplified sound, food vendors, or that are expected to attract significant crowds may also need a Special Event Permit under Chapter 7.5. The city operates numerous parks and recreational facilities. Event organizers must comply with park rules, noise ordinance requirements, and any conditions attached to the permit. Alcohol at park events may require additional authorization. The Park Board advises on park policies and event approvals.
Unpermitted park event: citation under Ch. 18. Damage to park facilities: restitution required.
