C. For the purposes of this article, "playground" is defined as any improved area, owned or controlled by the Township, set aside for play for children, which is not intended for use as an athletic playing field or athletic court, and which includes any play equipment, surfacing, fencing, signs, internal pathways, internal land forms, vegetation, and related structures.
