The following are not accepted as bulk items: hazardous waste, tires (accepted at the landfill for a fee), construction and demolition debris, electronics (accepted at special collection events), and automobile parts. The City of Denton Landfill at 1527 South Mayhill Road accepts self-haul loads from residents with valid ID. Fees vary by load size and material type. Items placed at the curb without a scheduled appointment may not be collected and can result in a property maintenance violation. Prohibited items left curbside may be tagged with instructions.
