Burrtec offers Jurupa Valley single-family residential customers up to two free bulky-item pickups per year, with up to 6 items per request and a combined volume not exceeding 1.5 cubic yards. Acceptable items include furniture, mattresses, appliances (including refrigerators/freezers with refrigerant β Burrtec handles CFC recovery), e-waste, and scrap wood. Construction and demolition (C&D) debris and any item requiring more than two people to handle are excluded and must use a separate C&D pathway (Green Halo plan, see JVMC).
Schedule a pickup at least one business day in advance by submitting a service request through Burrtec.com or by phone (951-786-0639). Items are picked up on the customer's next regular collection day. Excluded materials: construction/demolition debris (concrete, drywall, lumber from remodels), hazardous waste, household chemicals, paint, tires, and ammunition. Household hazardous waste must be taken to Riverside County HHW events or the Agua Mansa Resource Recovery Center. Customers can also use Burrtec's used-oil collection (up to 2 gallons on the regular service day in a sealed container) and the City Hall used-battery drop-off.
Setting bulky items at the curb without a scheduled appointment is treated as illegal dumping under Riverside County Code Β§6.16 and JVMC nuisance provisions and is reportable via the My Jurupa Valley app or Code Enforcement at 951-332-6464.
