Full Breakdown
Under Sec. 9-1-9, the city provides weekly automated residential solid waste collection, with each residence getting individual containers and curbside pickup; weekly recycling is offered alongside it. Sec. 9-1-5 makes the trash side mandatory: no resident or business may avoid or refuse the service, and declining it doesn't exempt anyone from the charges. Collection days are set by the city, and Sec. 9-1-10 bars collecting between 10:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. within 300 feet of a residential dwelling unless the city approves an exception.
Violations & Fines
Refusing pickup doesn't waive the fee. Sec. 9-1-5 keeps the owner on the hook for charges; collecting solid waste near homes outside the 5:30 a.m.-10:00 p.m. window is also a code violation.
