Development Code Section 12.080.I is the operative dumpster rule: dumpsters and other refuse storage areas have to be visually screened by an enclosure constructed of the same materials as the primary structure on the site, or another material the City approves. That sits inside the broader screening framework of Section 12.080.H, which governs open storage of materials, commodities, or equipment generally: it must be located behind the front building line, must observe all yard setback requirements that apply to the property, and must be screened with a minimum six-foot fence, wall, or other treatment under the standards in Section 12.080(A) and (B).

Any screening wall or fence built to satisfy these requirements has to be masonry, reinforced concrete, timber, or another similarly permanent material approved by the City, cannot contain openings, and any gate in it must match the wall's height and screening characteristics under Section 12.080.D. A required screening wall also has to be finished the same on both sides, per Section 12.080.G, so a business cannot present a raw or unfinished face toward a neighboring property. Together these sections mean a roll-off or dumpster enclosure at a Lehi commercial or industrial site is not optional landscaping, it is a mandatory screening requirement tied to the site's development approval.
