The city collects mixed solid waste from residential buildings with six or fewer units under Sec. 30¾-12. Containers must be clean, sturdy 20-32 gallon cans or heavy plastic bags, placed at the curb no earlier than 12 hours before the scheduled collection and removed within 12 hours after. The combined weight of a container and its contents can't exceed 75 pounds, and yard-waste bundles are capped at 3 feet long and 4 inches thick. Recyclables, glass, metal, plastic, paper and cardboard, must be separated and rinsed under the companion recycling section, Sec. 30¾-13.
