Sahuarita, AZ Trash & Recycling: Pickup Rules & Schedules (2026)

Residential trash collection in Sahuarita is provided by a contracted waste hauler that serves unincorporated Pima County and the Town under an intergovernmental agreement. Pickup occurs once per week on an assigned day based on the neighborhood route schedule. Residents receive a standard-sized wheeled cart from the hauler and must use this container for all curbside refuse. Additional carts may be requested for an added monthly fee. Trash must be bagged and placed inside the container with the lid fully closed. Loose items placed outside the cart, including bags piled beside the container, may not be collected and can draw a code compliance notice for creating a nuisance. Containers must be placed at the curb by 6 AM on the collection day and retrieved by the end of the same day.
