Sarasota City Code § 16-34 controls when solid-waste and recycling containers can sit at the curb. Owners must have wheeled and other containers out by 7:00 a.m. on collection day, but they cannot set them out any earlier than 5:00 p.m. the evening before. Once emptied, containers must go back into "proper storage", a side or rear yard, never the front yard, by 8:00 a.m. the following day.
