Full Breakdown
Under Kissimmee's animal care and control rules, keeping domestic fowl, defined as chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, pigeons, or other birds of the Galliformes or Anseriformes orders, is capped at no more than three birds within city limits. Anyone wanting to keep domestic fowl must also own or control a minimum one-acre parcel, which excludes typical suburban residential lots. The rule sits in the same section as the citywide ban on farm animals and dogs running at large, though the fowl limit itself is a keeping restriction, not an at-large rule.
Violations & Fines
Keeping domestic fowl in violation of § 6-20(b) carries a $100.00 fine under the city's itemized penalty schedule, Kissimmee City Code § 1-22(b)(15).
