070 makes it unlawful to keep, board or harbor more than ten chickens within city limits, and bans roosters outright except where the zoning ordinance allows them on farms or in agricultural areas. 02 builds on that: a residential lot may hold a total of eight domestic or exotic animals, of which no more than four may be dogs, four cats and one a pot-bellied pig. Chickens, ducks and geese must be kept in a securely fenced rear-yard area with a coop and pen set back at least five feet from side or rear property lines and at least twenty feet from any habitable structure on an adjacent property; coops cannot exceed six feet in height and must be maintained to keep out rats and other rodents.

306-A caps ducks or rabbits at ten per 20,000 square feet, pigeons at twenty-five per 20,000 square feet, and hogs, pigs, horses, mules or bovines at one per 20,000 square feet, with goats and sheep allowed at three per 20,000 square feet. Large livestock keeping is otherwise limited to raising, feeding, maintaining and breeding, excludes feed yards and slaughtering, and the animals may never run at large or be pastured, staked or tied on private property without the owner's consent.
