Full Breakdown
Neenah Municipal Code § 3-2 makes it unlawful to permit an animal or fowl to run at large anywhere in the City at any time. Owners must confine animals within the limits of their own premises, and when an animal is out with a person, that person must keep it under control by leash or other means. An unlicensed animal picked up while running at large and found injured can be humanely destroyed at the discretion of the Health Officer or police. The provision dates to Ord. No. 2017-05A, § 1, adopted March 15, 2017, and remains in force as printed in the current Code.
Violations & Fines
Violating the at-large ban exposes an owner to citation, and the animal may be impounded by the Kennel Master or a police officer under Neenah's separate impoundment provision, Sec. 3-15.
