Effective January 1, 2009, each dog shall be registered for a license upon payment of the sum of $10 in the case of a dog which has been neutered or spayed and $13 in the case of a dog which has not been neutered or spayed, which sums shall include the fee paid to the State of New Jersey. Until January 1, 2009, the licensing and registration fees shall remain $6 in the case of a dog which has been neutered or spayed and $9 in the case of a dog which has not been neutered or spayed. The owner or keeper of each dog shall be furnished with a license tag which shall have stamped upon it the year granted, the wording "Township of Brick, D.L." and the number of the tag which shall correspond with the number of the license issued to each owner or keeper. In addition to the fee provided for the registration of any dog as hereinabove set forth, an administrative charge of $1 for any dog registered after January 31 of each year shall be collected.
