Section 290-3 defines "veterinary services" as an establishment for the care of dogs, cats and other domestic animals by practitioners of the sciences of veterinary medicine, including on-site boarding services, folding boarding directly into the definition rather than treating it as a separate kennel use. 2G for its operating conditions. " The rule applies only to the boarding component: a walk-in exam or surgical practice with no overnight kennel is not bound by the curfew, but any clinic that boards patients overnight must keep them inside a building, not in exterior runs or kennels, during that twelve-hour window.

Because veterinary services carry a "P" designation rather than "SP" (special permit) in these hamlet centers, a clinic can open without Zoning Board of Appeals review, subject only to a standard building permit and site plan compliance under § 290-16. The same subsection G that imposes the boarding curfew also limits pet grooming at G(4) and restaurant outdoor noise at G(6) in the same districts, reflecting a pattern in the Hamlet Center standards of confining noise- or odor-generating uses to defined hours or indoor space. Clinics outside the Hamlet Center districts are governed instead by whatever use-table entry and bulk regulations apply in their own zoning district.
