155 amends Chapter 35 (Referenced Standards) of the California Building Code as adopted locally, adding city-specific requirements to NFPA 13D, 2025 Edition, which governs sprinkler systems in one- and two-family dwellings and manufactured homes. 4, "Stock of Spare Sprinklers," requires a supply of at least two sprinklers of each type installed to be kept on the premises so damaged or non-functioning heads can be promptly replaced; the spares must match the type and temperature rating installed in the dwelling and be stored in a cabinet where the temperature never exceeds 100 degrees Fahrenheit, along with a dedicated sprinkler wrench for each type installed.

6) so that an exterior alarm device must be listed for outside service, audible from the street, and placed on the front or side of the structure subject to fire code official approval, with interior alarm devices required for audibility throughout the house on an uninterruptible circuit, except where an approved water-flow monitoring system or interconnected smoke alarms are used instead.
