Because the code is adopted wholesale rather than rewritten locally, its mandatory and voluntary green building measures, covering water efficiency, material conservation, and construction waste reduction among the CALGreen mandatory provisions, apply to covered construction the same way they would under the state code, without a separate Ontario-specific green building ordinance layered on top. 01 rather than fixed in the code text itself.
