Bossier Parish, LA Business Licensing & Operations: Adult Entertainment (2026)

Section 22-1 governs sexually oriented businesses across unincorporated Bossier Parish, defined broadly to include adult arcades, bookstores, video stores, cabarets, theaters, escort agencies, nude model studios and sexual encounter centers. Subsection (b) limits its reach to businesses located outside the incorporated areas of the parish and outside the Bossier City and Benton five-mile corporate limit zone. Subsection (d) bars any sexually oriented business from operating within 2,500 feet of a church or synagogue, a public library, a public playground or school, a day care center or kindergarten, a nonprofit educational museum, a residential subdivision, a lot devoted to residential use, or another sexually oriented business, with distance measured in a straight line from the nearest wall of the business to the nearest property line under subsection (e).

Before opening, an operator must apply to the Police Jury under subsection (f) for a permit describing the exact nature and activities of the business; the Police Jury may also demand ownership, employee address and arrest or conviction history information. 00 fee.
