190. Section 4-5-7 separately requires a general business license and a sexually oriented business license naming the specific category of business, and section 4-5-10 caps each premises at one licensed category, except a single location may hold both an outcall services license and a seminude dancing agency license. Section 4-5-11 extends the licensing requirement to every employee of such a business. Applicants post a cash or corporate surety bond under section 4-5-14, drawn against automatically to pay any fines not paid within ten days of notice, and must replenish the bond within fifteen days of a draw.

Section 4-5-26 bars any seminude entertainment business from locating within 400 feet of a business licensed to sell or consume alcohol, and section 4-5-27 separately prohibits the sale, storage, supply or consumption of alcohol on any sexually oriented business premises at all. Existing businesses got phased compliance windows when the chapter took effect: 45 days for outcall services, 75 days for seminude dancing agencies, and 135 days for adult businesses and seminude entertainment businesses, measured from the effective date or the next license renewal, whichever came first, with an extension available from the city recorder on a showing of unrecouped investment.
