In the City of Brookhaven, Georgia, § 16-36(c)(7) makes it unlawful to light or use any open fire, smoker or grill in a city park, trail or greenspace except in permanent installations the city provides. Off park land, § 12-146(a)(1) allows open flame cooking but bars charcoal burners on combustible balconies or within ten feet of combustible construction, except at one- and two-family dwellings.
