Flood Elevation
In the City of Brookhaven, Georgia, Sec. 14-816 puts the lowest floor of a new principal residential building next to the future-conditions floodplain at least three feet above base flood elevation or one foot above the future-conditions elevation, whichever is higher. Nonresidential buildings need one foot above base flood elevation or the future-conditions elevation. Sec. 14-814(6) lifts mechanical and electrical equipment to a matching height.
