Cooking anywhere in a Bergen County park is limited to portable grills set up in designated picnic areas, or to campsite ground fires except at Van Saun County Park, where a permanent grill is required instead. Propane and similar fuels are banned outright unless a special event permit authorizes them, and grilling of any kind is barred entirely inside Overpeck County Park.
