Height Limits
In unincorporated Carteret County's residential zoning districts, walls and fences cannot exceed eight feet within any required yard under Zoning Ordinance Section 1619. On corner lots, nothing over three feet tall, including a fence, may sit inside the sight-visibility triangle formed 50 feet back from the intersection under Section 1622.
