In unincorporated Carteret County, Sec. 14-24 bans burning refuse, garbage, rubbish, tires, asphalt or other petroleum products for disposal purposes, counting each tire or container as a separate violation. Sec. 14-25 separately bars open burning of solid waste on site at the county's own transfer station and container sites.
