The UDC sets minimum front, side, corner-side, and rear yards by zoning district in Chapter 11. Typical single-family A2 lots require a 15-foot front yard, 5-foot side yards, 15-foot corner side yard, and 25-foot rear yard.

Required yards shall be measured from abutting property lines or street rights-of way. Required yards shall be unobstructed by buildings, structures, or objects constructed or located in a fixed location on the ground except as allowed under Section 11.1.2.B, Encroachments into Yards.
