East Baton Rouge Parish charges a flat $125 residential building permit fee for solar installations under Code Sec. 8:801(5)(b), the same rate charged for additions, generators, pools, fences and driveways. Sec. 8:500 requires a permit before any regulated electrical work begins, and the Department of Development's Permits and Inspection Division reviews every application under Sec. 8:505-8:509.
