Escambia County treats garage and yard sales as temporary special events under its Land Development Code. On any parcel that is zoned or used as residential, all special events combined, garage and yard sales included, cannot exceed 14 days in a calendar year, even though a single special event can otherwise run up to 30 days without a land use permit.
