Sidewalk Repair

In unincorporated Floyd County, sidewalk repair is the county's job, not the abutting property owner's. Sec. 2-16-2 assigns the county public works department to construct and repair county streets and sidewalks, or direct that work, whenever the Board of Commissioners orders it by resolution. New subdivisions outside Rome aren't even required to install sidewalks under the Unified Land Development Code.
