In the Kenai Peninsula Borough outside the cities, marijuana establishments licensed under AS 17.38 cannot locate within 1,000 feet of a school, within 500 feet of a recreation or youth center, church, or correctional facility, or inside any local option zoning district. KPB 7.30.020 sets these siting standards, and the borough has not opted out of AS 17.38; every application still goes through assembly review.
