Encroachment Permits
Anyone wanting to place a structure, pipeline, driveway or other encroachment in a Lyon County road right-of-way, or to cut or excavate it, must first obtain a Lyon County right-of-way use permit from the Road Superintendent. Fees are set by the Board of County Commissioners by resolution, and street-cut permittees must post a bond and insurance before work begins.
