Parade Permits
Anyone who wants to hold a parade, procession or organized formation that travels on a county street outside normal traffic rules in unincorporated Orangeburg County must first get a special event permit under Orangeburg County Code § 24-3. The county's Office of Emergency Services reviews applications, which must be filed at least 45 days before the event, and a violation is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $500.00 fine, 30 days in jail, or both.
