Flood Elevation
Putnam County's local amendment to the Florida Building Code, Residential, raises the minimum elevation for new construction in flood hazard areas outside Coastal A Zones to the base flood elevation plus one foot, or the design flood elevation, whichever is higher, and applies the same one-foot buffer to below-grade basement floors.
