Density Bonus Law

In Roanoke County, Virginia (outside the independent cities of Roanoke and Salem), the Planned Residential Development (PRD) district allows density bonuses above its 5-unit-per-acre base: 2.5 units per acre for every extra 5 percent of open space, up to 25 percent, plus a 7.5 percent bonus for preserving a historic site, under Roanoke County Code § 30-47-3(A).
