Solicitor Permits

In Rockingham County outside Harrisonburg and the towns, County Code § 15-2 requires anyone going door to door to sell goods, take orders or solicit charitable donations to register with the county sheriff first. Registration triggers a background check, a one-year permit and a $10.00 non-refundable fee under §§ 15-3 and 15-4.
